As part of the service when purchasing a building from us, if you require a base for your garden building, this is something we can arrange. The below prices are approximate and based on a flat, level site, with easy access. Once you have placed an order, an exact price for this work can be given following a site visit from one of the ground teams.

ELECTRICAL WORK INFORMATION - 2025 v2

When buying a building from Bourne Buildings we can put you in contact with a trusted electrician to complete a full electrical service.

PROCESS
1. Place your building order - When ordering, let us know that you require electrical work.
2. Electrician allocation - We will assign an electrician based on your location and the lead time for your chosen building.
3. Initial contact - Within a few days of your order, the electrician will get in touch to discuss your requirements and, if needed, arrange a site visit.
4. Receive a quote - A no obligation quote will be provided after the discussion or site visit.
5. Accept the quote - Once you approve the quote, the electrician will schedule a date for the electrical work with you directly.
6. Important note - Electrical work cannot be carried out on the same day as the building installation, as this would cause delays for both teams.
If you have a lined & insulated building, the following information is also applicable:
BRECKLAND LINED & INSULATED BUILDINGS
• Customer will need to pay £300 for Breckland’s “Fit customer cable service” so that cables can be hidden behind the internal lining.
• Breckland need an electrical plan sent to them 10 days prior to delivery, and for the electrical cables to be given to the installation team upon arrival – the electrician can prepare the electrical plan to be sent to the factory and supply the cables ready to be given to the installation team.

MALVERN LINED & INSULATED BUILDINGS
• Malvern offer a “Fit customer cables service” at no extra cost.
• Malvern need an electrical plan, and the required cables, to be given to the installation team upon arrival – the electrician can prepare the electrical plan and supply the cables ready to be given to the installation team.

TOPWOOD LINED & INSULATED BUILDINGS​
• Topwood will install the majority of the building, and then return approximately 7 days later to fit the lining, allowing time for the electrician to carry out the required work. This service is currently offered at no additional cost but must be written on the order.

PRICES
Customers’ requirements vary, so it is impossible to give an exact price for what the electrical service will cost, but we have prepared some example packages to give an idea – please contact us for more information.
- These prices include supply of fittings, installation & VAT
- Prices do not include cables as this varies a lot depending on the location of the fittings. Once requirements are confirmed, a detailed no obligation quote with be provided.
- Prices do not include connecting to the house or supplying & laying the armoured cable – but this can be quoted for by the electrician following a site visit.
